Inspired by a Preggy: LA Colors Palm Tree

LA Colors Palm Tree is dedicated to my current obsession with the color green. I don’t know what’s with this particular shade but every time I would see a color green, I would automatically push the “I like” button. Is it because I have a pregnant friend who loves green so much and she passed it unto me? Did you follow the logic behind that superstition? Well, Filipinos have this belief that a pregnant girl can pass her cravings to someone she’s so fond of like her husband or her close friend. So, sometimes, I really do think, she’s passing her green cravings unto me.
I digress.

Going back to LA Colors Nail Polish in Palm Tree, this product is a lovely pastel green color with no shimmer whatsoever. Although this color falls under pastel green, it is not as shocking as other pastel colors like violet or blue. It surprisingly doesn't look so ostentatious on my nail and somehow falls under neutral color polish.  So, if you are looking for a wearable green polish, this one should be on your list.

Palm Tree is on the sheer side. Sometimes, I needed three coats to achieve the opaqueness that I desire. I don’t mind this at all because I find the formula easy to work with as compared to the thick ones. It says it comes with hardeners so it’s nice knowing you got nail hardener and a polish in one. This was gifted to me so I am not sure if this particular shade is available here in the Philippines but you can check it out at LA Colors booth in Trinoma. Each of their polish cost around 90.00 per stash.

That's all about for now. Till next time!

Chow!

Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. So, today, I thought I would share my experience with this Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse.  This is by far, my favorite mousse cream for my curly hair. Let me tell you some of my opinions regarding this product.  1. SMELL - Oh. Goodness. I love the smell of this one right out of the can. This is...

Treats for My Skin Courtesy of Gluta

This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. I am not the one to get facials because I am not comfortable getting under someone else's hands. (This is the reason why I keep on coming back to the same hairstylist). But this is free so might as well try it. (Who doesn't want free stuff anyway?) The event happened last month at Gluta booth, Robinsons Manila. This is part of the launch of their Gluta White and Firm line, which according to the lady, the first product line that was able to produce all whitening products in just one launch (facial wash, lotion, soap, moisturizer, etc.) Gluta Advance White and Firm Products Now back to the facial, they first remove my makeup with a cleanser, then they further cleaned my whole face with another cleanser. Then, they also used a vacuum to further remove deep-seated dirt from my face. That vacuum felt like some kid was giving me little kisses. It did not hur...

Honeymoon in Palawan: Wildlife Rescue Center

Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (Travel Date: April 24, 2018) For this post, I will be sharing our visit to Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center. As I have mentioned in my previous posts,  hubby and I went to Palawan for our honeymoon. If you haven't already, you may read our journey by clicking the following links:  El Nido Tour A El Nido Tour C Underground River Mitra's Ranch Bakers Hill ,  Butterfly Garden and Tribal Village ,  Immaculate Conception Cathedral Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center Palawan Museum and Plaza Cuartel This place is a home to crocodiles and other rare wild animals. Here we have seen the efforts of Palawan people to save their rich animal population especially crocodiles whose species have been considered as endangered. They let people in batch by batch so the place won't be crowded. We waited first in this area, and of course, a little photo op. Upon ente...

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Gel

I was doing a little stroll along beauty section when the sales assistant asked me, "Ma'am, ano pong nilagay niyo sa kilay nio, ang ganda kasi e, sanay na sanay kayo magkilay..." "Maam, what product did you use on your eyebrows? You are really good on doing your brows!"  Truth is, I wasn't always this good with brows. I had my fair share of uneven brows, messy brows, overplucked, bushy, wrong shape, wrong curves. But by having those mistakes, I learned how to perfect my brows, I learned by doing, which I think is one of the most important thing when it comes to make-up. You learn every single time you do it. I still do mistakes from time to time, and I am still improving every single day, but I guess that's just the beauty of make-up. Sometimes, you've created a masterpiece, sometimes, you've created a trash... in that way, you enhance your skills. Okay, did I just became very sentimental about eyebrows? Yes, I did. Anyways,  ...
