Inspired by Mona Lisa Smile: Christian Dior Rouge Dolce Vita 014

Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. For a real woman, red lipstick is a timeless weapon to look and feel beautiful. My first lipstick is a red one and up until now, even if I have other shades of lipsticks, red will always be on my stash.

So, today, I thought of highlighting the most precious red lipstick I own, my precious baby, Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014.

Timeless as it is, the inspiration for today's lipstick is the movie The Mona Lisa Smile which is set in 1950's. Just like the girls in the movie, Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014 is not in-your-face retro red lipstick because it has a slight hint of orange.

It has a semi-matte finish but very creamy, it glides smoothly on the lips when applied.

This is not for the faint heart because it is too striking and too pretty to never go unnoticed. Truth is, I always get compliments when I wear this lipstick.

Lasting power is amazing, that is if you take care of your lips once you applied it, and that means no mindless drinking from a cup, no licking the lips, and no kissing. (wink!)

Only thing I hate about this lipstick is that the beautiful golden case is chipping like crazy so better take care of it because mine’s a little messed up now. This is kind of a bummer for such an expensive lipstick. I suggest you buy a lipstick case to prevent the chipping.

All in all, love love love this lipstick. As the song goes, it will always be my baby.

This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. Revlon Stormy Pink

This is gonna be short and sweet just to make up for a long blogging hiatus. I don’t have much luck when it comes to pink lipstick. It’s either wrong shade or wrong formula. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Stormy Pink is no exemption. A friend gave this to me and the color was love at first sight. It was purple-ish, Barbie-like pink tone. But then, after getting a bit tanner because of summer, it ain't BFF with my morena skin tone. Wearing this makes me feel like Nikki Minaj (Boom boorooom boom base!!!). Hello blogsphere! How you doin?! Wow! It feels good to finally be back after a looong hiatus. I admit I miss creating paragraphs for this blog and I am just happy to finally touch my keyboard and write again. I know I should be doing a run down of my 2016 but to be honest, 2016 is the worst year of my life, I hated it so much that I just wanted to bid goodbye and move on to 2017. I will not go on with the details but my 2016 is filled with disappointments, loneliness, heartbreak, illness, and even death of a loved-one. I experienced major problems far from my maturity level that I feel like going back to beauty blogging is least of my interests. But then as I slowly recover and move forward, I realized how much I missed writing and doing beauty-related stuff. Blogging is one hobby that makes me happy and I think that we should always do what makes us happy no matter how hard life can be. So, here I am again making a comeback and I plan to do some revamping on this blog. After all...
