Revlon Stormy Pink

This is gonna be short and sweet just to make up for a long blogging hiatus. I don’t have much luck when it comes to pink lipstick. It’s either wrong shade or wrong formula. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Stormy Pink is no exemption. A friend gave this to me and the color was love at first sight. It was purple-ish, Barbie-like pink tone. But then, after getting a bit tanner because of summer, it ain't BFF with my morena skin tone. Wearing this makes me feel like Nikki Minaj (Boom boorooom boom base!!!). But I think, this is perfect for girls who have pale skin or fairer skin . The formula is just so off. It’s sticky, but not pigmented, and it keeps on sliding on my lips as if I am using a cheap brand lipstick. (To tell you honestly, I am not considering Revlon as a drugstore brand because  it is a bit pricey here in the Philippines.) It has a matte formula so for all you glossy-haters out there, this one's for you. As for me, matte lipsticks are too dr...

Pieces of My Month: Ilocos Travels

HELLO BLOGWORLD!!! Wow! I can't believe my last rant was more than a month ago. Really? Is it that long? Blogging is like Neverland in the making. In real life, a month has passed but it feels like a day in virtual world. You get what I mean? Anyways, I am glad to say that my hiatus is an indication that my "real" life has become...well... real...and more awesome than what this virtual world represents. Though I love blogging and facebooking (is that a word already?), I know that life outside of these platforms are more important. So, to give you a glimpse of my life as of the moment, I am sharing with you some of the things I am grateful for during the month of April. This is the fourth installment of my monthly gratitude list wherein I focus on God's blessings and life's marvellousity (Ok- I made up that word, pardon me). ( Click here to see my previous months.). First thing and I believe one of the most exciting things that happened to me this year is ...

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Gel

I was doing a little stroll along beauty section when the sales assistant asked me, "Ma'am, ano pong nilagay niyo sa kilay nio, ang ganda kasi e, sanay na sanay kayo magkilay..." "Maam, what product did you use on your eyebrows? You are really good on doing your brows!"  Truth is, I wasn't always this good with brows. I had my fair share of uneven brows, messy brows, overplucked, bushy, wrong shape, wrong curves. But by having those mistakes, I learned how to perfect my brows, I learned by doing, which I think is one of the most important thing when it comes to make-up. You learn every single time you do it. I still do mistakes from time to time, and I am still improving every single day, but I guess that's just the beauty of make-up. Sometimes, you've created a masterpiece, sometimes, you've created a trash... in that way, you enhance your skills. Okay, did I just became very sentimental about eyebrows? Yes, I did. Anyways,  ...

Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. So, today, I thought I would share my experience with this Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse.  This is by far, my favorite mousse cream for my curly hair. Let me tell you some of my opinions regarding this product.  1. SMELL - Oh. Goodness. I love the smell of this one right out of the can. This is...

Wedding Bliss

June is said to be the wedding season of the year. So, I thought of doing a series called  Wedding Bliss  where I share all things I learned when I planned my wedding last year (April 2018.) Pieces of my Month: AUGUST 2015

Last year, I did some kind of a monthly gratitude list wherein I gather all images of important happenings in my life for that certain month. I never get to do that this year so I am planning to do it once more. It has helped me to become more positive in life even though I have been struggling with lots of things and that my life is too far from being perfect. Also, I want to realize that there are certain things I need to be grateful for because sometimes I am not able to see good things happening around me. So in accordance of my "coming back to blogging" thang and because this is also part of my birthmonth celebration, I am listing down some pieces of my August. Big part of my month is the celebration of my birthday with my family. We went to VIKINGS, a luxury all you can eat buffet. It was my first time there and I was just so happy to be with the whole family because I guess it was a rare chance that we get to eat out together as a whole. Being a Vikin...
