Wedding Bliss: DIY Projects

What is a wedding without any DIY ? Right? So today I will be taking you to some of my do-it-yourself projects that I made and incorporated in my wedding.

The layout of our invitation was made by yours truly. I have a soft spot for layout and design so I thought of doing our invitation to make it more personalized. This layout was made in Adobe Photoshop. But I decided to have it printed by BoxedPh . I really loved the outcome of our invitation.

This is my personal Bible, so I wanted it to be a part of my wedding, too. The only thing is that it is too worn out because of old age and too much usage so I just tie pink ribbon and a little fabric flower for embellishment.

I made this corsage using fabric.

These flowers were worn by my Principal Sponsors on their wrists.

My Bridesmaids' flowers were handmade by yours truly using different kinds of fabric. Someone asked me if I am selling these. Well, I am thinking of making it into a business.

I used UNIchalk for writing in our old guitar case. I never thought it would look so beautiful in photos.

Some tips for when you do your DIY.

1. Forgive yourself if it's ugly and you just can't use it on your wedding day.
2. Youtube is your best teacher.
3. Pinterest is your best library.
4. Give sometime for making these DIY because cramming will not give the best result especially in crafting.
5. When in doubt, just delegate and hire a professional.

I think I still have more DIYs during my wedding but I kind of lost some of the pictures. Maybe I will just add it as soon as I find it.

My mother, being a teacher, helped me understand the lesson by using analogy . It was late September when I started "Marvellous Much." For two months, I labored myself from taking photos to writing to editing and then publishing. I took this as my own, my baby, my little sanctuary. BDJ FAIR 2015

This is my third time to go to this yearly event hosted by BDJ. First time, I went with a friend (Well, hello Ghem!). The next one, boyfie was with me. This time, I decided to just go by myself . I tried to maximize the event so I spent the whole afternoon going from one booth to another. I also pre-registered to two talks/seminars to get an insight or two. Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.
