Revlon Color Lustrous Lip Gloss in Gold Frost

Ever since I started working, I have been wearing lipsticks all the time and neglecting the joys a lipgloss can do. I don't know if it's the age or maybe I have worn a lot of gloss when I was on my teens that I feel lipstick is  for my twenties. But, when I saw Revlon Color Lustrous lipgloss, I cant help but fall in love once again with lip glosses.  Why do I love this gloss? Let me count the ways.. 1. The shade is a beautiful golden nude that has a bit of shimmer, not glitters, that creates a lovely shine to the lips.  2. It glides on smoothly and is not sticky to wear. 3. Makeup Look: Purple Haze

Lately, my mind has been filled with lots of make-up goals such as going pro, make-up schools, products to invest on, getting a freelance traincase, etc. etc. I am literally planning how to take this make-up fantasy into the next level. You see, it is easy to put make-up on my face, but to do it on other people is a whole new different thing. Oh, well, I think I just have to figure out my next step. Along with this fantasy, I have also been sketching A LOT of make-up looks so that I will not forget the idea I have in my mind. Happy Halloween Everyone!!! I know that most of you are celebrating the dead these days (horror films, zombies, monsters, vampires, white ladies, scary dolls, etcetera), but my Mama is celebrating her birth, contrary to the holiday, so let me just give her a little shout out "Happy Birthday, Mama!" I honestly don't have prominent eye bags, so a little foundation can cover up the redness of my under eye area. But, I always include concealing as a part of my make-up routine because I love how it brightens a tired face and how it immediately creates a flawless skin. Pieces of My Month: October

Wake me up when September October ends... I was talking to a dear friend about my never ending dilemmas, and she said I am stuck and I have the right to change things, that is, if I really want to.  For the past two months, I am in a battle field, and I hid like a hermit, I hid from my own emotions. But as days pass by, I am slowly finding peace. I don't want to be depressed. I look at the people around me, the people I love and who love me, I let go of my creative juices, I write blogposts, I sketch, I went to reunions, I interact, I played with make-up -- and I am fine. I believe I have a huge fighting chance. I just don't want to be vulnerable... it's just me. That's the Leo in me. I will growl and I will find strength inside me, it's innate in me. I will never be tired of fighting. \ I am happy I am surrounded by people-- True people-- and not the digital ones.... They protect me from being miserable... They make living worthwhile... ...

Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Gel

I was doing a little stroll along beauty section when the sales assistant asked me, "Ma'am, ano pong nilagay niyo sa kilay nio, ang ganda kasi e, sanay na sanay kayo magkilay..." "Maam, what product did you use on your eyebrows? You are really good on doing your brows!"  Truth is, I wasn't always this good with brows. I had my fair share of uneven brows, messy brows, overplucked, bushy, wrong shape, wrong curves. But by having those mistakes, I learned how to perfect my brows, I learned by doing, which I think is one of the most important thing when it comes to make-up. You learn every single time you do it. I still do mistakes from time to time, and I am still improving every single day, but I guess that's just the beauty of make-up. Review: Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Honey Nectar

Hello, marvellous! I'm back with another review and today I am showing you the best pink lipstick I ever had so far. As I recall, my last pink lipstick review was Revlon Stormy pink and it wasn't a good love story. I also remembered buying Nyx Narcissus and it's just plain wrong for my tan skin -  I was screaming Nikki Minaj. But then, after months of wearing either a nude lipstick ( In2it Orange Fizz ) or red lipstick ( CD Rouge Allure ), I am craving for something flashy, girly, and colorful. Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Anyways, one of the things I noticed about her is the beautiful shine she has on her cheeks - not greasy type of shine - but a lovely flash of highlight. So, I thought of trying out in2it's blush for the first time. When I went there, most of their blushes were sold out. The sales assistant said their blushes are their best sellers- no doubt about it. So, I asked her what shade can she recommend for my skin tone and she confidently suggested the shade "Charm." I tried out some of their blushes, pink ones in general, but Charm really stood out for me. The sales assistant was right, Charm definitely suites me better. Inspired by Zooey Deschanel

Hello, marvellous!! Just a quick nail art recreation for all of you. This is not the first time I adored Zooey's nails.  Every time I watch her in "New Girl," I can't help but check out her nails.  She loves to wear cute and quirky nail arts that perfectly match her equally quirky personality. So, today, I thought of doing a simple nail art she wore some time years ago.  Truth is, I am not really sure where and when she wore this one.  I think I grabbed this photo a year ago and buried it deep into my computer files.  However, as I rearrange my files last week, this picture came about and I thought of finally recreating the design. As you can see it is just so simple yet so cute.  Here are the steps: First, put some purple base color on. Next, put on some scotch tape at the tip of the nails to serve as a guide. This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. I am not the one to get facials because I am not comfortable getting under someone else's hands. (This is the reason why I keep on coming back to the same hairstylist). Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Wedding Bliss: The Importance of Wedding Coordinator (Quintessence Philippines)

I am quite surprised that even after being married for almost a year now, I still get a ton of queries regarding wedding details and such. One common question I get is this: "Do I really need a wedding day coordinator?". My answer is always, always this big YES. Well, based on my experience, you can get away without an over-all full wedding coordinator because you can do the planning alone. However- and very important, I must say, that you get an on-the-day-coordinator . And please do get a legit one, not your friends or family, but a professional wedding coor. (Your friends want to enjoy the moment, too, so please don't give them yet another job to do. They can assist you in little things, but please leave everything to a legit coor.) Revlon Stormy Pink

This is gonna be short and sweet just to make up for a long blogging hiatus. I don’t have much luck when it comes to pink lipstick. It’s either wrong shade or wrong formula. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Stormy Pink is no exemption. A friend gave this to me and the color was love at first sight. It was purple-ish, Barbie-like pink tone. But then, after getting a bit tanner because of summer, it ain't BFF with my morena skin tone. Wearing this makes me feel like Nikki Minaj (Boom boorooom boom base!!!). But I think, this is perfect for girls who have pale skin or fairer skin . The formula is just so off. It’s sticky, but not pigmented, and it keeps on sliding on my lips as if I am using a cheap brand lipstick. (To tell you honestly, I am not considering Revlon as a drugstore brand because  it is a bit pricey here in the Philippines.) Wedding Bliss: The Sassy Host, Miss Nathalie Salcedo

I honestly don't know how to start talking about our wedding host, Miss Nathalie Salcedo. I think I am still in awe on how amazing her hosting skills was during our wedding. I get asked a lot about her, where we met her, who is she, and/or if she's a celebrity or something. My guests told me two common things about her : she's a good host and she's so pretty. The truth is-- there are also only two things I am sure about her: She's a good host... and she's so pretty! Miss Nat was booked later on the wedding planning, so I didn't know much about her. We booked her less than a month before the wedding through our wedding coor (and through phone only) so I really didn't get the chance to talk to her only until the wedding day itself. LOL Liquid Eyeliner Review

Last Thursday, I was invited to render an intermission number for an event and I have to buy me some make-up. It is inevitable for me to buy make-up prior to the performance because obviously I need to create a presentable slash diva-ish look since people will be all eyes on me for more than five minutes. Something new to wear gives a girl more confidence, may it be clothes or make-up, and of course, whenever you sing in front of the crowd, you need all the confidence you can get.
