L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD High Definition Concealer

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

I know that most of you are celebrating the dead these days (horror films, zombies, monsters, vampires, white ladies, scary dolls, etcetera), but my Mama is celebrating her birth, contrary to the holiday, so let me just give her a little shout out "Happy Birthday, Mama!"

Okay, now that's done. let us go back to make-up talk. Today, I am doing another product review and this time, we'll be talking about concealers.

I honestly don't have prominent eye bags, so a little foundation can cover up the redness of my under eye area. But, I always include concealing as a part of my make-up routine because I love how it brightens a tired face and how it immediately creates a flawless skin.

As you can see in this photo, the right one has no concealer on, while the left one has L.A. Girl Pro Concealer applied on the under eye area. See how it immediately brightens the face? Take note that I am not wearing anything- no foundation, no powder... just the wonders of concealer.

Now that you have seen how L.A. Girl Pro Conceal does its magic, let us now go directly to the review.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal has the reputation of being a dupe for Mac concealers.  Even the sales assistant who sold me this product mentioned that most people are comparing this product to Mac concealer. Since this is not a comparative review, (maybe in the future post), I will be giving you some of my
quick thoughts about why most beauty geeks are placing this side by side against Mac.

Quick thoughts:
1. Good coverage. Covers the redness of the under eye area.
2. Aside from coverage, this is also good for highlighting the under eye area.
3. Amazing consistency. Creamy and opaque. Wonderful to touch.
4. It doesn't crease, it doesn't cake, it doesn't set on the lines of the skin.
5. Natural-looking, great for everyday use.

Fast Facts:
1. It comes in a tube-like packaging with a built-in brush. I personally prefer the tube without the brush. It may be hard to control how much product is coming out from the tube because of the brush. I just use the brush to apply the product on my face, then I use a separate foundation brush to evenly spread out the product.
2. Price is around 300 pesos. For the price, this is worth it.
3. Available at any L.A. Girl beauty sections nationwide. (Watsons, Sm Malls, Ayala Malls, etc)
4. Each tube contains 8g of product.
5. My shade is in Pure Beige. I took this one because the sales assistant said that this one is more opaque than the other shade, which is the Creamy Beige.

Overall, I love love love this product. I highly recommend this for girls who are on the look out for:
- good concealer
- not too pricey
- gets the job done
- handy
- great for everyday use
- not cakey
- doesn't crease

So, that's it, I am one happy camper because of this.

Hope you enjoy this review. Till my next post.
Bye!!!!

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

TURNING PAGES: Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

When I was in kindergarten, I had a hard time understanding Math specifically the lesson in  “greater than- less than-equal to” equations. My mother, being a teacher, helped me understand the lesson by using analogy . In a manner of storytelling, she told me that the sign corresponding greater than/less than/equal to is  Pacman  (the famous computer game back then), while the numbers in the equation represent the amount of apples . She told me I have to point Pacman’s mouth to the larger amount so he can eat more apples. I never failed at greater than/less than/equal to lesson ever again. It is composed of analogies and stories that helped me understand the wisdom behind success. It will not tell you what to do, it will ask you to analyze the roots of success and w...

You Can't Eat Beauty

"My mother used to say to me, "You can’t eat beauty, it doesn’t feed you." And these words played and bothered me, I didn’t really understand them until finally I realized that beauty was not a thing that I could acquire or consume. It was something that I just had to be. And what my mother meant by saying that "you can’t eat beauty" was that you can’t rely on beauty to sustain you.  What actually sustains us, what is fundamentally beautiful is compassion for yourself and those around you. That kind of beauty enflames the heart and enchants the soul."

On Self-Acceptance

It was late September when I started "Marvellous Much." For two months, I labored myself from taking photos to writing to editing and then publishing. I took this as my own, my baby, my little sanctuary. Although I've done several blogs before, this is the first time I have ever done a blog that is somehow commercial and is focusing on a certain niche. I aim to create a professional blog on this one, something that I can give to the world. Every now and then, before I click the "publish" button, I would see myself stepping back and forth. I know I doubt myself so much. I always see myself as not good enough. Every time I would go public, things scream unto my head - words such as "what will they think of my work?" "Is this great?" "Will the people like it?" I hate this thing about myself. When you lack confidence, you lack strength. I hate myself for this. I hate that I sometimes hate myself. However, for the past two months, wi...

Honeymoon in Palawan: Bakers Hill, Buttterfly Garden, Immaculate Conception Cathedral

So, after two days spent in El Nido Tour A , Tour C , and the ever famous Underground River, we continue our Palawan escapade via our rented motorcycle. After Mitra's Ranch , we went to Baker's Hill, Immaculate Conception Cathedral, and Butterfly Garden.  This is one of the several posts I made about our Trip to Palawan. Here are the links to other posts for your convenience: El Nido Tour A El Nido Tour C Underground River Mitra's Ranch Bakers Hill, Butterfly Garden and Tribal Village, Immaculate Conception Cathedral Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center Palawan Museum and Plaza Cuartel BAKER'S HILL When we were at Baker's Hill, I was kind of wondering why it's called as such because it looked like a park and not a bakery. Later did I know that it is actually a theme park with bakery inside.  BUTTERFLY GARDEN One of my favorite attractions in Puerto Princesa, Butterfly Garden is the home to hundre...

BDJ FAIR 2015

This is my third time to go to this yearly event hosted by BDJ. First time, I went with a friend (Well, hello Ghem!). The next one, boyfie was with me. This time, I decided to just go by myself . I tried to maximize the event so I spent the whole afternoon going from one booth to another. I also pre-registered to two talks/seminars to get an insight or two. If you haven't heard of them yet, BDJ is a community of empowered bellas. Actually, it all started with a kikay planner- The Belle de jour Power planner. Then a community was formed involving mostly users of planners and  kikay girls alike. As for me, I've been a BDJ planner user for five years. I go to the event (if time allows me to) because this is where I can buy the new and upcoming planner in a much lower price compared to its selling price. I bought my new planner for only 500 pesos as opposed to its original selling price of 580. Also, the event is actually pretty cool. You can go around, win some fu...

Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Anyways, one of the things I noticed about her is the beautiful shine she has on her cheeks - not greasy type of shine - but a lovely flash of highlight. So, I thought of trying out in2it's blush for the first time. When I went there, most of their blushes were sold out. The sales assistant said their blushes are their best sellers- no doubt about it. So, I asked her what shade can she recommend for my skin tone and she confidently suggested the shade "Charm." I tried out some of their blushes, pink ones in general, but Charm really stood out for me. The sales assistant was right, Charm definitely suites me better. In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm is a peach blush with gold shimmers. I, for one, am afraid of shimmers because my face tends to become very oily and to add more shi...
