REVIEW: L.A. Girl Gel Liner

Hello hello hello! Three reviews in three consecutive days? Wow, this girl is on Fa-yah! Okay, let's do this.
Today, I get a little overboard editing some of my photos through editing app called Decopic. Ang cute cute! Been wanting to put stamps on my photos, and I tried some apps but I can't seem to find the kawaii app that suits all my needs. Finally now I have Decopic. Ain't she lovely? I spent like hours tweaking my photos...

Anyways--- (Sorry I forgot this is about an eyeliner, not an app. hihihi)

Howell, been using this gel liner for two weeks now and I thought I might do a review on this one because (surprise surprise) I love it!

I really haven't heard anything about this gel liner as compared to some popular drugstore gel liners such as  from Wet n Wild and Maybelline so I don't have much expectation about this product. But then, as I use every single day, I am actually enjoying it.

Mine is in brown shade. Well, I do prefer brown eyeliners because they look natural on me, perfect for office and church days. Black tends to be very strong for my equally strong eye features, so yeah, I'm leaning more into brown shade for that subtle eye accent. If you want heavy, defined eyeliner, I prefer you choose black because this one tends to be very natural-looking.

As most gel liners do, this is creamy and soft. What I do, I get some product using the free brush, then I try to warm the product at the back of my hand so the gel will slide smoothly on my lids. It works really well this way.

The brush that comes along with it is perfect. It ain't like those cheapy free brush that you can throw the minute you open the product. The brush has a brown, kinda like a wooden handle, and the bristles have enough hardness and softness for perfect application of the gel liner.

This is a good product, i recommend you try this one if you are looking for an everyday gel liner.

That's it marvellous ones. Till my next kawaii review.

Bye!!! Mwah!

UPDATE: (Oct. 24, 2014)

I have been using this gel liner mostly on my brows and it works so well, it stays on my brows for hours. I believe this is perfect for brows rather than an eyeliner.
I am also loving this as a base for my eyeshadow because it intensifies the color and makes the shadow stick on pretty well during the day. Just make sure to blend this product really well unto the lids because too much product may cause smudging and you don't want to end up looking like Pow in Kung Fu Panda.
I stopped using this as an eyeliner per se because I feel it's too natural for my taste and also, I am inclining into jet black liner (I am currently using Jazzy Cooper Gel liner). I could still use this as an eyeliner on days when I prefer a subtle look.
After four months of continuous use, the product is still in good condition- no drying whatsoever. I still have a lot of product to use, which is quite surprising because I use this product every single day on my brows and my lids. I think it will still be good until next year. I am pretty impressed!

That's it, ladies! Till next time!
Vavush!

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

TURNING PAGES: Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

When I was in kindergarten, I had a hard time understanding Math specifically the lesson in  “greater than- less than-equal to” equations. My mother, being a teacher, helped me understand the lesson by using analogy . In a manner of storytelling, she told me that the sign corresponding greater than/less than/equal to is  Pacman  (the famous computer game back then), while the numbers in the equation represent the amount of apples . She told me I have to point Pacman’s mouth to the larger amount so he can eat more apples. I never failed at greater than/less than/equal to lesson ever again. SOURCE: h ttp://prekandksharing.blogspot.com/2012/08/montessori-inspired-greater-than-less.html Outliers  by Malcolm Gladwell is a lot like my mom’s way of teaching me Math. It is composed of analogies and stories that helped me understand the wisdom behind success. It will not tell you what to do, it will ask you to analyze the roots of success and w...

Inspired by Mona Lisa Smile: Christian Dior Rouge Dolce Vita 014

Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. For a real woman, red lipstick is a timeless weapon to look and feel beautiful. My first lipstick is a red one and up until now, even if I have other shades of lipsticks, red will always be on my stash. So, today, I thought of highlighting the most precious red lipstick I own, my precious baby,  Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014. Timeless as it is, the inspiration for today's lipstick is the movie The Mona Lisa Smile which is set in 1950's. Just like the girls in the movie,  Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014 is not in-your-face retro red lipstick because it has a slight hint of orange. Source "That's a snapshot"- Mona Lisa Smile It has a semi-matte finish but very creamy, it glides smoothly on the lips when applied. This is not for the faint heart because it is too striking and...

Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Anyways, one of the things I noticed about her is the beautiful shine she has on her cheeks - not greasy type of shine - but a lovely flash of highlight. So, I thought of trying out in2it's blush for the first time. When I went there, most of their blushes were sold out. The sales assistant said their blushes are their best sellers- no doubt about it. So, I asked her what shade can she recommend for my skin tone and she confidently suggested the shade "Charm." I tried out some of their blushes, pink ones in general, but Charm really stood out for me. The sales assistant was right, Charm definitely suites me better. In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm is a peach blush with gold shimmers. I, for one, am afraid of shimmers because my face tends to become very oily and to add more shi...

NOTD: Caronia Bonanza Tip

I rarely go to salon to have my nails done professionally because: a. I love doing my own manicure/pedicure because cleaning my nails is somehow a therapy to me.  b. I don't really like how manicure is being done here in the Philippines where they cut the cuticles and sometimes they even cut the skin until it bleeds. c. I have this uneasy feeling when someone is using lots of tools on me (as that of a dentist).  d. I had a trauma years ago on my right ring finger and though the whole thing was my fault, I don't want to gamble on nail technicians who have the possibility to redo the horrible scenario e. I would rather spend the money on a nail polish  But then, one day, I was feeling a little iffy about my nails because: a. I didn't like the way I shaped them, b. I didn't like the way I put nail polish, and  c. I didn't like the harsh edge on the side of my nails.  So, I decided to spare myself of uneasiness and went to the neare...

My Birthday Shenanigans : ABS-CBN Tour and ASAP Live

August is my birthday month so instead of doing my usual "Pieces of My Month" series, I decided to make it more special by doing series of posts called "My Birthday Shenanigans." I know that this has been an overdue post as we are already running through "BER" months, but as I have said before, it is better to post late than never. Anyways, one of the major things I did during my birthday was to take a tour around ABS-CBN studio.  ABS-CBN is the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines as far as I know. So, if you are living in the Philippines, there is no way you do not know what ABS-CBN  is. It has produced tons of television shows, entertainers, artists, broadcasters, movies, etc. My brother and my sister-in-law (who was also celebrating her birthday that day) were kind enough to invite me to join them in seeing the "behind the scenes" of TV production.  OUTFIT OF THE DAY: White Blouse Aztec Skirt Black Shoes Messeng...
