Happiness and All in Between

Source
Life is freaking awesome, let me just say that. I’m happy to finally say I am happy (forgive the redundancy). I am so overwhelmed with all the blessings I see around me. Much more, I am filled with peace which is far too precious than any other material things in this world. Last night, while I was doing my “journaling” routine, I reviewed my bucket list I made at the beginning of the year. I called it “PUSH MO YAN, GIRL” list. Three of them I already ticked off including the last one which says “BE HAPPY.” For the past two years, I feel stuck. I don't really know what to do with my life. Along with my self-imposed crisis, I felt truly unhappy, but God has helped me make better decisions in life that has led me to find happiness with who I was, who I am, and who I want to be in the future. Now, I feel so much better- the best version I could ever be since my quarter life has began and I am no longer afraid of my dreams. I am no longer at lost, I think.

Large part of my happiness is my new wonderful working environment. I am so thrilled to have found a marvelous workplace and I feel so blessed because I really don’t have to drag myself out of the door just to go to work. Every day I go to my office with ease and I feel so blessed for the company I belong to.I love my job, I really do.

Chaotic Life of a Book Editor

Also, my Parish servanthood is really fulfilling with all the success of our Parish Newsletter. The publication is still a baby, but at least it is not a fetus anymore. Being an editor-in-chief (an assistant, really), gives me heebie-jeebies but it gives me sense of worthiness and accomplishment. It has always been a blessing to serve God using all the talents He has given me, plus it is a thrill to see my name printed on it. I feel like I have fulfilled a life-long dream.

Winning the game of Unggoy-ungguyan
My social life is also booming right now- thanks to my true friends who keep on reminding me there’s no use to live like a hermit. This is also the reason why I can't keep up with my blogging schedule. I realized that the world is filled with lots of things to be grateful for; all I have to do is to get offline, go out, and interact. True connection involves true people, not some kind of a virtual avatar. This place is not heaven but we could always find a little piece of heaven in our place- we just need to find the right community with all the right people. Don't ever underestimate your social life.

Let me also add that huge chunk of my happiness is the relationship I have with my parents. No need to go into details but I love them now more than ever. I just don't want to skip the happiness topic without mentioning them. I am not really sure if I have shown them how much I appreciate their presence in my life. I know I have not been the perfect daughter but I am really thankful for their support and guidance. I may sound a bit showbiz here but I guess it's about time to give my parents the pedestal they both deserve. (Tissue, please. *Sniff).

My parents rock!!!

Plus, a bonus!!! I finally got my price from Tara's ZA products giveaway. I am so excited to try out these awesome goodies because I admit I am not really the type to spend so much on skin care- talk about neglect and poverty (haha). I really don't know anything about this brand but it seems interesting to me and I guess these products call for product reviews. I got four items including ZA True White Day Protector, ZA True White Cleansing Foam, ZA BB Cream UV White, and ZA True White Prismizer. Love love love.

I guess that's what life is all about for me now. How fun it is to blog about happiness. I am such a blessed child.

Till next time.

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

Revlon Color Lustrous Lip Gloss in Gold Frost

Ever since I started working, I have been wearing lipsticks all the time and neglecting the joys a lipgloss can do. I don't know if it's the age or maybe I have worn a lot of gloss when I was on my teens that I feel lipstick is  for my twenties. But, when I saw Revlon Color Lustrous lipgloss, I cant help but fall in love once again with lip glosses.  Why do I love this gloss? Let me count the ways.. 1. The shade is a beautiful golden nude that has a bit of shimmer, not glitters, that creates a lovely shine to the lips.  2. It glides on smoothly and is not sticky to wear. 3. Opacity is just right, not too opaque, not too sheer.  I got this on sale so the price is way lower than usual, I got this for only P200 (such a steal right?)\The sales assistant told me that Revlon booths placed in the middle of the malls have more sale items compared to counters located inside the department stores. So, if you are looki...

AT LEAST I CAN STILL SEE: Living Life through Amblyopia

All my life, people thought I am just banlag (squint) or someone who has a scar on her right eye. What some people do not know exactly is that I am almost blind. After thousands of eye tests to different ophthalmologists and optometrists, mine is a rare condition called Amblyopia (also known as lazy eye) coupled with color-blindness. Let us first start with my right eye. If you will look closely into my cornea, it has this white scar that originated by birth. If I will only use my right eye and let my left eye be closed, I will see everything in blur. Because of an inborn scar, there is a small white cast blocking my right eye, I cannot see the details of an image. I only see a vision, a blur, a shape. For example, if there is a calendar in front of me, looking only through my right eye, I would only see a white rectangle with dots and some lines. Imagine watching TV with white sheer cloth in front of your eyes-- that's the perspective of my right eye. God must have pi...

NOTD: Bride and Bridesmaids

This post will be photo heavy so beware. Anyways, been wanting to try out some nail stickers but I am not really sure why I haven't had the chance to actually buy and put them on my nails.  However, a visit to a craft store led me to find these cute flowers so I thought of giving these stickers a try. I like them actually. What do you think? These nails remind me of my brother's wedding which I actually attended as the maid of honor... I am the girl next to the bride... and as the wedding singer as well... Me and my Marvellous Man So, here's my nails again for your viewing pleasure. That's all for now. I promise to tell you more next time. Bye!
