How to Cook Filipino Style Spaghetti / Macaroni

It has been said over and over again that Fiesta Ham is the "queen" of noche buena. I beg to differ because I think the queen of Christmas dinner or any other holiday for that matter is the ever famous SPAGHETTI. I am speaking in behalf of Filipino families who would rather have spaghetti on their plate than ham.

Anyway, since this is not a debate whether ham is better than spaghetti, I ought to share with you guys my recipe for Filipino Style Spaghetti. The recent holidays gave me the opportunity to master this recipe because my brother who used to be the cook of the family got married and moved out of our place so I took charge of the kitchen this year (and I'm definitely most proud of it.)

So. for your ingredients you need:
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Ham
  • Hotdog
  • Mushrooms
  • Ground beef
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Pepper Seasoning Granules
  •  Pasta

STEPS:
  1. Heat pan with small amount of oil. Put on your garlic and onion. Then, sauté ham, hotdog, and mushroom. Set aside.
  2. Next, sauté beef for 20-30 minutes until well done. Set aside as well.
  3. Now in a larger pan, mix sautéed ground beef and spaghetti sauce and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir from time to time so that the sauce will not stick into the pan.
  5. Now add the sautéed ham, hotdog and mushroom. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes with constant stirring.
  6. Adjust to your desired taste by adding a pinch of pepper and seasoning granules.
  7. Serve with smile!
So, that's it. Hope this helps a lot. This is my very first recipe article and hope I can do more soon.
Happy New Year Guys! Happy Eating!!!

Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. So, today, I thought I would share my experience with this Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse.  This is by far, my favorite mousse cream for my curly hair. Let me tell you some of my opinions regarding this product.  1. SMELL - Oh. Goodness. I love the smell of this one right out of the can. This is...

Treats for My Skin Courtesy of Gluta

This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. I am not the one to get facials because I am not comfortable getting under someone else's hands. (This is the reason why I keep on coming back to the same hairstylist). But this is free so might as well try it. (Who doesn't want free stuff anyway?) The event happened last month at Gluta booth, Robinsons Manila. This is part of the launch of their Gluta White and Firm line, which according to the lady, the first product line that was able to produce all whitening products in just one launch (facial wash, lotion, soap, moisturizer, etc.) Gluta Advance White and Firm Products Now back to the facial, they first remove my makeup with a cleanser, then they further cleaned my whole face with another cleanser. Then, they also used a vacuum to further remove deep-seated dirt from my face. That vacuum felt like some kid was giving me little kisses. It did not hur...

As I have mentioned in my previous posts,  hubby and I went to Palawan for our honeymoon. They let people in batch by batch so the place won't be crowded. We waited first in this area, and of course, a little photo op. Upon ente...

My PIERCINGS- Accidents, Stories, Reasons.. etc.

Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. Also, I was too young to remember how it felt like. Too young to even comprehend. But I remember being happy having the privilege to wear such pretty gold earrings. I had the rest ...

Jazzy Collections Eyebrow Gel

I was doing a little stroll along beauty section when the sales assistant asked me, "Ma'am, ano pong nilagay niyo sa kilay nio, ang ganda kasi e, sanay na sanay kayo magkilay..." "Maam, what product did you use on your eyebrows? You are really good on doing your brows!"  Truth is, I wasn't always this good with brows. I had my fair share of uneven brows, messy brows, overplucked, bushy, wrong shape, wrong curves. But by having those mistakes, I learned how to perfect my brows, I learned by doing, which I think is one of the most important thing when it comes to make-up. You learn every single time you do it. I still do mistakes from time to time, and I am still improving every single day, but I guess that's just the beauty of make-up. Sometimes, you've created a masterpiece, sometimes, you've created a trash... in that way, you enhance your skills. Okay, did I just became very sentimental about eyebrows? Yes, I did. Anyways,  ...
