LOL Liquid Eyeliner Review


Last Thursday, I was invited to render an intermission number for an event and I have to buy me some make-up. It is inevitable for me to buy make-up prior to the performance because obviously I need to create a presentable slash diva-ish look since people will be all eyes on me for more than five minutes. Something new to wear gives a girl more confidence, may it be clothes or make-up, and of course, whenever you sing in front of the crowd, you need all the confidence you can get.
I decided to buy a new eyeliner because my Fanny Serrano felt tip liner is already going crazy after months of usage.  After minutes of rummaging the beauty section of SM North, I decided to try out this inexpensive brand called LOL. I've been eyeing this LOL liquid eyeliner the first time I saw it on Watsons. I know it's not a good idea to try out new brand on a performance night but I have this gut feeling that this could be a eureka for finding an inexpensive but effective eyeliner.

I chose dark brown because I haven't tried this color yet. I am a fan of black eyeliner but I want to see what dark brown looks like on me. This color is very natural and subtle. If you are aiming for a natural look, dark brown eyeliner is the way to go.

I am already used to applying eyeliners so I didn't have a hard time lining my eyes with this one. Though I am a fan of felt tip liner, I think this one is easier to use especially on the inner corner of my hooded eyes.

This is one of the most inexpensive eyeliners I have seen in Watsons. I bought this product for only P139.00. I just love inexpensive but never cheap make-up products.

To test the quality of this product, I did some swatches at the back of my hand:











I also tried to do some water testing by placing it under faucet with running water and no smudging whatsoever.









I tried to rub it and it faded a bit but still no smudging. Take note that I have to rub this one very hard as if I am literally erasing it.

EOS Lip Balm, Overrated?

I was looking at old photos in my computer and I saw these cute pictures of EOS Lipbalm and I remembered how much I love this product but I shelved it for various reasons. Inspired by JLO's Nude Lips: In2it Moisture Intense Lipstick in Orange Fizz

I have always been on the hunt for a nice nude lipstick that can beautifully mute my pigmented lips. The desire to rummage around for the best neutral lipstick started when I would always see myself being drawn to wearing dark hues of eyeshadows, only to find out I have no nude lipstick to pair it with. I would always end up wearing light pink lipstick which I think is just fine but I wish I could have a neutral colored lipstick so the eyeshadows can pop rather than making the lipstick clash to the eye make-up. Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Anyways, one of the things I noticed about her is the beautiful shine she has on her cheeks - not greasy type of shine - but a lovely flash of highlight. Inspired by Legally Blonde: Pink and Marvellous

Since this blog is unexpectedly becoming a nail fetish den, I would like to give you yet another nail design inspired by a movie. Marionnaud Angled Brush

I think one of the unsung heroes of makeup is an angled brush. You see, if ever I will have one brush left in me, I would choose this brush alone because one, you can get your brows on fleek with this. Second, you can create a fine winged liner with this. Third, you can use it to create a sultry cut crease on your eyes. So versatile eh? Now speaking of angled brushes, one of my all time favorite angled liner is from Marionnaud. They have two variants of this brush, one is a short, the other is longer one. I have both of them and they work really great, the only difference is the length. When I was in kindergarten, I had a hard time understanding Math specifically the lesson in  “greater than- less than-equal to” equations. My mother, being a teacher, helped me understand the lesson by using analogy . In a manner of storytelling, she told me that the sign corresponding greater than/less than/equal to is  Pacman  (the famous computer game back then), while the numbers in the equation represent the amount of apples .
