Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Emerald Cut


Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Emerald Cut has been on my stash for quite a while now and I have been reaching out for it every now and then so I guess it's just about time to do a little review about it.

My sweet, sweet mother gave this particular quad to me and it's like a reincarnation of my former Avon eye shadow quad in Purple Haze. The only difference, aside from the color, is the arrangement of the eye shadows.

 

So, after months of using, here are the bullet points:
  • These eye shadows have different types of pigmentation. The yellow one (number 1) has the best pigmentation of all; darker ones have good pigmentation while the peach one has a very, very light pigmentation.
  • I find myself always using the yellow one on the inner corner of my eye because it is much pigmented while I always ignore the peach one (number 2) because it feels like I’m not putting anything on my lids when using it.



  • I don't use these eye shadows together because in my opinion, they just don't compliment each other. But I love using one or more of the four eye shadows together with other eye shadows. I think they look better that way.
  • It has a sleek black packaging that is classy and sturdy so you won't have to worry about crushing it on your purse.
  • Lasting power is fine but then again, they have different lasting power so it's quite hard to determine how long they will last on your lids.

I'm still surprised when friends won't believe when I tell them my hair is naturally curly and that I never had a digi perm or any curling method done. People have been seeing me with rebonded straight hair for the past 12 years, (I thought it was only 10) and they have kind of believed my hair is naturally straight. Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Inspired by Mona Lisa Smile: Christian Dior Rouge Dolce Vita 014

Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. Honeymoon in Palawan: Bakers Hill, Buttterfly Garden, Immaculate Conception Cathedral

Pray for the Philippines

I am not so much of a patriotic kind but the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan led me to care about my country, the Philippines. We weren't directly hit by the storm surge since we are living far from Tacloban City but I felt really involved in this massive tragedy. Days before Yolanda came, different warnings were announced regarding the typhoon. We were told to keep safe. I also remembered listening to different guidelines on how to survive the typhoon. November 8 came, it was a Friday. I've read from social media sites that Yolanda officially entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. There were heavy rains here in Manila but it wasn't too strong to kill a person but I've seen some "personal" videos posted on the Internet on how strong the typhoon was in other parts of the country.
