This has been a long and overdue post about this product, I think I mentioned it in one of my pieces of my month posts. I missed doing nail polish swatches (which is basically some of my very first topic on this blog.)

To be honest, yellow nail polish doesn't really suit my olive skin tone so I stay away from this color as much as possible, but there are some instances wherein I feel like wearing it just cause.... Sometimes I like being weird and funky so I wear this to create this juxtaposition of bright yellow nails over my morena skin.

Sally Hansen Statemint is a bright yellow polish with a hint of a light mint green, hence the play on word "state-mint". It comes in this bottle that has a separate cap to prevent drying and increase longevity of the polish.

Just like other Sally Hansen polishes, it has this wide brush that some people are not really fond of because it is too wide! Really! Although, I can work with it but have to admit sometimes it's hard to use because I do have small nails.

I also find Sally Hansen polishes a bit pricey here in the Philippines, but I expected it anyways because I know this is a U.S. brand polish.

I don't really reach out for this one every single time I do my nails but this is such a lovely color to stash on my collection.

I was doing a little stroll along beauty section when the sales assistant asked me, "Ma'am, ano pong nilagay niyo sa kilay nio, ang ganda kasi e, sanay na sanay kayo magkilay..." I know that Mondays are always greeted with a sigh, especially with most business people, because it is the start of a life battle called "workweek." Revlon Stormy Pink

This is gonna be short and sweet just to make up for a long blogging hiatus. I don’t have much luck when it comes to pink lipstick. It’s either wrong shade or wrong formula. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Stormy Pink is no exemption. A friend gave this to me and the color was love at first sight. It was purple-ish, Barbie-like pink tone. But then, after getting a bit tanner because of summer, it ain't BFF with my morena skin tone. Wearing this makes me feel like Nikki Minaj (Boom boorooom boom base!!!). But I think, this is perfect for girls who have pale skin or fairer skin . The formula is just so off. It’s sticky, but not pigmented, and it keeps on sliding on my lips as if I am using a cheap brand lipstick. (To tell you honestly, I am not considering Revlon as a drugstore brand because it is a bit pricey here in the Philippines.) Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. For a real woman, red lipstick is a timeless weapon to look and feel beautiful. My first lipstick is a red one and up until now, even if I have other shades of lipsticks, red will always be on my stash. So, today, I thought of highlighting the most precious red lipstick I own, my precious baby, Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014. Timeless as it is, the inspiration for today's lipstick is the movie The Mona Lisa Smile which is set in 1950's.
