Yes, definitely, Revlon Colorstay is here to stay . I believe that the greatest asset of Revlon Colorstay Foundation is the foundation formula itself. You may hate it for any other reasons such as no pump, limited color selection, and tricky application, but you will definitely keep on reaching out for this foundie because the formula itself is so irresistible in terms of coverage, longevity, and finish that somehow you finally understood why this drugstore foundation have created a cult in the beauty arena.   Did I just make a little speech out of Revlon Colorstay Foundation? Treats for My Skin Courtesy of Gluta

This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. I am not the one to get facials because I am not comfortable getting under someone else's hands. (This is the reason why I keep on coming back to the same hairstylist). But this is free so might as well try it. (Who doesn't want free stuff anyway?) The event happened last month at Gluta booth, Robinsons Manila. This is part of the launch of their Gluta White and Firm line, which according to the lady, the first product line that was able to produce all whitening products in just one launch (facial wash, lotion, soap, moisturizer, etc.) Gluta Advance White and Firm Products Now back to the facial, they first remove my makeup with a cleanser, then they further cleaned my whole face with another cleanser. New Year, New Traincase

Make-up is a hobby I can no longer resist, that I must admit. I am in love.  Though some may see cosmetics as artificial and materialistic, I see it as art, full of techniques and colors. I no longer see it as vanity, I see it as a skill to enhance what is already there, to bring out what is hidden, and to somehow create what is missing. I look at the actresses in TV and looked at the details of their blush or shadows or even the shape of their eyes and I tried to imagine what did the makeup artist applyon their face. I long to do more of this, and I hope I can continue this passion. Anyhoo, if that ain't being too melodramatic about makeup, let me continue by happily sharing with you, dear reader, that I finally got a traincase. Saying that, I feel like having a traincase seals the deal of me pursuing a career in makeup artistry. When I was in kindergarten, I had a hard time understanding Math specifically the lesson in  “greater than- less than-equal to” equations. My mother, being a teacher, helped me understand the lesson by using analogy . Kulot Not Salot: My Curly Hair Routine

I'm still surprised when friends won't believe when I tell them my hair is naturally curly and that I never had a digi perm or any curling method done. People have been seeing me with rebonded straight hair for the past 12 years, (I thought it was only 10) and they have kind of believed my hair is naturally straight. And frankly, I, too, have forgotten how I looked like with curly hair. I have to rummage a box of old photos to help me remember how my curls looked like a decade ago and why do I even have it straightened. Was it that bad? After almost an hour of looking for old photos of my natural curls- this I realized to my chagrin - I rarely wore my curly hair down when I was a teenager. That was basically the reason why I had my hair rebonded. I did not know what to do with my curls. I did not know how to maximize my curls, its beauty, how to style it, how to play with it. Review: In2it Waterproof Single Blush in Charm

This post is dedicated to my boyfriend's sister who loves to rave about in2it products. She loves the brand so much she's literally into it. (Can I get an A for that intro?) Anyways, one of the things I noticed about her is the beautiful shine she has on her cheeks - not greasy type of shine - but a lovely flash of highlight. So, I thought of trying out in2it's blush for the first time. When I went there, most of their blushes were sold out. The sales assistant said their blushes are their best sellers- no doubt about it. So, I asked her what shade can she recommend for my skin tone and she confidently suggested the shade "Charm." I tried out some of their blushes, pink ones in general, but Charm really stood out for me. The sales assistant was right, Charm definitely suites me better. Inspired by Mona Lisa Smile: Christian Dior Rouge Dolce Vita 014

Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. For a real woman, red lipstick is a timeless weapon to look and feel beautiful. My first lipstick is a red one and up until now, even if I have other shades of lipsticks, red will always be on my stash. So, today, I thought of highlighting the most precious red lipstick I own, my precious baby,  Christian Dior’s Rouge Dolce Vita in #014. Timeless as it is, the inspiration for today's lipstick is the movie The Mona Lisa Smile which is set in 1950's. Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. So, today, I thought I would share my experience with this Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse.  This is by far, my favorite mousse cream for my curly hair. Honeymoon in Palawan: Bakers Hill, Buttterfly Garden, Immaculate Conception Cathedral

So, after two days spent in El Nido Tour A , Tour C , and the ever famous Underground River, we continue our Palawan escapade via our rented motorcycle. Pray for the Philippines

I am not so much of a patriotic kind but the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan led me to care about my country, the Philippines. We weren't directly hit by the storm surge since we are living far from Tacloban City but I felt really involved in this massive tragedy. Days before Yolanda came, different warnings were announced regarding the typhoon. We were told to keep safe. I also remembered listening to different guidelines on how to survive the typhoon. November 8 came, it was a Friday. I've read from social media sites that Yolanda officially entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. There were heavy rains here in Manila but it wasn't too strong to kill a person but I've seen some "personal" videos posted on the Internet on how strong the typhoon was in other parts of the country.
