Pink is Warm, Red is Hot : Sassy Colors Shade-shifting Nail Polish

Color-changing nail polish has been around for forever and I honestly find the idea corny, but I guess it's really clever. Don't you think? These nail polishes change color once the temperature of your surroundings has changed. It reminds me of mood rings during high school when I was so naive to believe a particular color-changing ring can translate my mood into colors. Anyways, today's nail polish is from Sassy's Shade-shifting Nail Polish line that I bought only because I was drawn by the marketing skills of the sales attendant. Also, I want to try it myself so I can show it here on my blog since I haven't done any nail-related post for months now. This is only P50.00 (equivalent to a dollar) so I guess it's enough for fun-filled nail polish experience.  This shade is called Warm and Sunny and it changes from a sheer light pink color to coral reddish pink. You Can't Eat Beauty

Cover Girl Brow and Eye Makers in Midnight Brown

My Mama and I have this morning bonding routine that I think is common among mother-daughter tandem. I, being the make-up artist in our home, and she, being the senior gal, use make-up as a tool to connect, which I think is intimate and literally face to face. My usual assignment is to literally draw her eyebrows and sometimes we get a laugh or two whenever I miss the mark. One of the tools that I often use for her eyebrows (and mine as well) is an eyebrow pencil. I know that wax and powders are the best when it comes to filling up the eyebrows but they can be to sheer and time-consuming, so I ought to stick on pencils. My current favorite is the Cover Girl Brow and Eye Makers because it fills the brows naturally and smoothly. Mine is the color midnight brown and it is the perfect shade for my hair color. It has a waxy texture so you may use this as a base if you love to use powder for a more filled eyebrows. It c omes with a sharpener  but I don't think it's any good ...

Marvellous Monday

I know that Mondays are always greeted with a sigh, especially with most business people, because it is the start of a life battle called "workweek." However, today, I would like to change it a bit by starting a gratitude list pertaining to my previous week full of blessings. This is not bragging since last week is far from being perfect, but I promise myself to stay positive no matter what so I am helping myself to see the beauty rather than contemplate on scars. Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. NAIL PARAPHERNALIA: New Things to Try

This might come as a shock but I am a former nail biter. It is pretty ironic that this girl who loves to blog about nails is a former nail biter. Funny right?  Basically, I just realized that the cause of my disgusting habit is my addiction to my nails. So, instead of pricking on my nails, why not turn it into something positive and make my nails pretty instead? Review: Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Honey Nectar

Hello, marvellous! I'm back with another review and today I am showing you the best pink lipstick I ever had so far. As I recall, my last pink lipstick review was Revlon Stormy pink and it wasn't a good love story. Inspired by Mona Lisa Smile: Christian Dior Rouge Dolce Vita 014

Once a gay friend told me, "Red lipstick is so back then." I immediately replied back and told him a true lady would say otherwise. For a real woman, red lipstick is a timeless weapon to look and feel beautiful. My first lipstick is a red one and up until now, even if I have other shades of lipsticks, red will always be on my stash. Happy Halloween Everyone!!! I know that most of you are celebrating the dead these days (horror films, zombies, monsters, vampires, white ladies, scary dolls, etcetera), but my Mama is celebrating her birth, contrary to the holiday, so let me just give her a little shout out "Happy Birthday, Mama!" Pray for the Philippines

I am not so much of a patriotic kind but the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan led me to care about my country, the Philippines. We weren't directly hit by the storm surge since we are living far from Tacloban City but I felt really involved in this massive tragedy. Days before Yolanda came, different warnings were announced regarding the typhoon. We were told to keep safe. I also remembered listening to different guidelines on how to survive the typhoon. November 8 came, it was a Friday. I've read from social media sites that Yolanda officially entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. There were heavy rains here in Manila but it wasn't too strong to kill a person but I've seen some "personal" videos posted on the Internet on how strong the typhoon was in other parts of the country.
