Pink is Warm, Red is Hot : Sassy Colors Shade-shifting Nail Polish

Color-changing nail polish has been around for forever and I honestly find the idea corny, but I guess it's really clever. Don't you think? These nail polishes change color once the temperature of your surroundings has changed. It reminds me of mood rings during high school when I was so naive to believe a particular color-changing ring can translate my mood into colors. Anyways, today's nail polish is from Sassy's Shade-shifting Nail Polish line that I bought only because I was drawn by the marketing skills of the sales attendant. Also, I want to try it myself so I can show it here on my blog since I haven't done any nail-related post for months now. This is only P50.00 (equivalent to a dollar) so I guess it's enough for fun-filled nail polish experience.  This shade is called Warm and Sunny and it changes from a sheer light pink color to coral reddish pink. You Can't Eat Beauty

"My mother used to say to me, "You can’t eat beauty, it doesn’t feed you." And these words played and bothered me, I didn’t really understand them until finally I realized that beauty was not a thing that I could acquire or consume. It was something that I just had to be. Cover Girl Brow and Eye Makers in Midnight Brown

My Mama and I have this morning bonding routine that I think is common among mother-daughter tandem. I, being the make-up artist in our home, and she, being the senior gal, use make-up as a tool to connect, which I think is intimate and literally face to face. My usual assignment is to literally draw her eyebrows and sometimes we get a laugh or two whenever I miss the mark. One of the tools that I often use for her eyebrows (and mine as well) is an eyebrow pencil. I know that wax and powders are the best when it comes to filling up the eyebrows but they can be to sheer and time-consuming, so I ought to stick on pencils. My current favorite is the Cover Girl Brow and Eye Makers because it fills the brows naturally and smoothly. Mine is the color midnight brown and it is the perfect shade for my hair color. It has a waxy texture so you may use this as a base if you love to use powder for a more filled eyebrows. It c omes with a sharpener  but I don't think it's any good ...

Marvellous Monday

I know that Mondays are always greeted with a sigh, especially with most business people, because it is the start of a life battle called "workweek." However, today, I would like to change it a bit by starting a gratitude list pertaining to my previous week full of blessings. This is not bragging since last week is far from being perfect, but I promise myself to stay positive no matter what so I am helping myself to see the beauty rather than contemplate on scars. Happy Tuesday everyone! I have just realized that the first quarter of 2014 have passed and I am loving my year so far. There are times when I wish I could have done more but I guess it's better to give myself a pat on the back and celebrate my successes rather than being too harsh on myself. Sometimes, I tend to forget I can only do enough. First week of March, I was able to celebrate Fat Tuesday with my church friends. Fat Tuesday, if you have no idea what it is, is  the day before Ash Wednesday--the start of Lenten season.  Since Fat Tuesday is the day before fasting and abstinence, devout Catholics are having a merry gathering of food and laughter before pursuing a month of sacrifice and soul-searching.   Aside from the beginning of Lenten season, March also marks the start of summer. Elow elow elow Dear Reader! So, today, I bought new set of earrings and I realized, I haven't really talked about my piercing experience. So, I thought maybe I should answer some common questions about my piercings and piercing in general. How many piercings do you have? As of the moment, I have a total of six individual piercings. Three on the left ear, three on the right. When did you get them and why? 1. The first pair was done when I was four or five years old. I remember my father bringing me to a little health center and telling me to just tilt my head and that was it. I don't have much to say about this piercing because it was like a "default" kind of thing - sort of a tradition or one of those mandatory things a girl has to go through-  so nothing special in this pair. REVIEW: L.A. Girl Gel Liner

Hello hello hello! Three reviews in three consecutive days? Wow, this girl is on Fa-yah! Okay, let's do this. Today, I get a little overboard editing some of my photos through editing app called Decopic. Ang cute cute! Been wanting to put stamps on my photos, and I tried some apps but I can't seem to find the kawaii app that suits all my needs. Finally now I have Decopic. Ain't she lovely? I spent like hours tweaking my photos... Anyways--- (Sorry I forgot this is about an eyeliner, not an app. hihihi) Howell, been using this gel liner for two weeks now and I thought I might do a review on this one because (surprise surprise) I love it! Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it.
