Inspired by Cotton Candies: OMG Nail Polishes

I confess, I am such a sweet tooth. I crave for anything sweet like chocolates, cake, candies, and chocolates! Did I say chocolate twice? So, forgive that the nail of the day is something I call “cotton candy” because the colors remind me of cotton candies sold in front of churches. Source My nails look' really sweet!!!   This pink and yellow combo is my take on the different-color-on-the-ring-finger trend and surprisingly I love it. This is my first time to shy away from the norm because I am more of one-color-polish type of girl. This combo grew close to me that I took hundred of photos of them. Inspired by Product Empties Tag: MISSHA TINT (AQUA GEL)

Obviously, I inhaled every single drop of my Missha Tint Aqua Gel and I am compelled to write something about it. I don't personally like tints to begin with, so finishing this one up is a huge surprise to me. I used to believe that tints are not for me because I never liked the sticky feeling of putting liquid on my cheeks. After finishing this one up, I realized that there are tints that I can surely fell in love with.  Speaking of falling in love, I never thought I loved this until I saw the before and after pictures of this product. I realized that this tint was always on hand whenever I feel lazy to put make-up on but still want to look polished. Also, I remembered kind of feeling sad when I realized I was down to my last swipe. Inspired by JLO's Nude Lips: In2it Moisture Intense Lipstick in Orange Fizz

I have always been on the hunt for a nice nude lipstick that can beautifully mute my pigmented lips. The desire to rummage around for the best neutral lipstick started when I would always see myself being drawn to wearing dark hues of eyeshadows, only to find out I have no nude lipstick to pair it with. I would always end up wearing light pink lipstick which I think is just fine but I wish I could have a neutral colored lipstick so the eyeshadows can pop rather than making the lipstick clash to the eye make-up. Should I say my hunt is always a fail. Sometimes, it’s too pale, too light, a lot of browns, lots of pinks, always a fail. What I really want to have is the kind of lipstick that will definitely erase my lips but won’t make me appear sickly. Arrrgh! Women are such confused beings! Treats for My Skin Courtesy of Gluta

This is a long and overdue post about the free facial and diamond peel given by the lovely people of Gluta. I am not the one to get facials because I am not comfortable getting under someone else's hands. (This is the reason why I keep on coming back to the same hairstylist). But this is free so might as well try it. (Who doesn't want free stuff anyway?) The event happened last month at Gluta booth, Robinsons Manila. This is part of the launch of their Gluta White and Firm line, which according to the lady, the first product line that was able to produce all whitening products in just one launch (facial wash, lotion, soap, moisturizer, etc.) Gluta Advance White and Firm Products Now back to the facial, they first remove my makeup with a cleanser, then they further cleaned my whole face with another cleanser. Curly Find: Dove Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse

Living in a country where straight hair rules, finding a good styling product for the curly hair is such a pain in the ey-ess-ess. For the past few months, I've been experimenting on different hair products, mixing and jumbling all sorts of creams, mousse, gels, etc etc. Product after product, layers after layers.  I honestly sometimes feel like going back to straight hair is way easier and economical, than spending so much money on hair products, but then I do love my current buhahag hairstyle- I feel some sense of uniqueness and personality with this kind of hair- so I think I wold just go on with this journey and just enjoy every part of it. AT LEAST I CAN STILL SEE: Living Life through Amblyopia

All my life, people thought I am just banlag (squint) or someone who has a scar on her right eye. What some people do not know exactly is that I am almost blind. After thousands of eye tests to different ophthalmologists and optometrists, mine is a rare condition called Amblyopia (also known as lazy eye) coupled with color-blindness. Let us first start with my right eye. If you will look closely into my cornea, it has this white scar that originated by birth. If I will only use my right eye and let my left eye be closed, I will see everything in blur. Because of an inborn scar, there is a small white cast blocking my right eye, I cannot see the details of an image. I only see a vision, a blur, a shape. For example, if there is a calendar in front of me, looking only through my right eye, I would only see a white rectangle with dots and some lines. NOTD: Bride and Bridesmaids

This post will be photo heavy so beware. Anyways, been wanting to try out some nail stickers but I am not really sure why I haven't had the chance to actually buy and put them on my nails.  However, a visit to a craft store led me to find these cute flowers so I thought of giving these stickers a try. I like them actually. What do you think? These nails remind me of my brother's wedding which I actually attended as the maid of honor... Tragedy after Tragedy

My heart is breaking right now that no amount of manicure can ever heal. I thought of creating a nail of the day post (since this is what this blog is all about) but then it pains to see my countrymen face tragedy after tragedy that I feel a need to set aside a polish post and to really share what I feel and see around me. As of this writing, my lovely country, the Philippines, is under national calamity because part of the Philippines suffered from the super typhoon Haiyan. Prior to the typhoon, the country also bear magnitude 7 earthquake, heartbreaking terrorism in Zamboanga, and the additional issue of pork barrel scam. Millions have suffered and we Filipinos have suffered enough. There is no room for laughter. Any amount of fun is a sign of insensitivity. It is not easy to watch the news without crying because you see your country being whipped from head to toe and you feel so bruised and battered.
